 :: PRESS RELEASE ::
:: Skm Motorsport Look For Change Of Luck At Parramatta

Tuesday, 12 January 2010
Oz Motorsport Promotions

The Port Macquarie based SKM Motorsport Dirt Late Model Team will be hoping its ‘third time lucky’ when it competes at Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway (NSW) Friday January 15.

On the previous two visits to the super fast clay-way the team’s efforts have been thwarted by mechanical issues.

“Our first two runs at Parramatta this season didn’t really produce the results we were looking for” said team principal and driver Neil Wallace.

“Every team faces mechanical woes at some time or another but I reckon we’ve used up our entire quota for the season already, so hopefully Friday night will get our East Coast Late Model Series chase back on track”.

“We did run at two Nowra Speedway shows since our last visit to Parramatta and we recorded a couple of Heat wins down there, and a second place in a Main, so we seem to be heading back in the right direction”.

“Its imperative we put in a good showing this Friday night at Parramatta though, as it’s the last hit out prior to the big Tyrepower Late Model Grand National at the same track on Saturday January 23”.

“We need to get our setup right Friday night so that we can go into the following weekend as a serious contender for victory in the 30 lap A Main. With around 30 of the nations best Dirt Late Model teams set to converge on Parramatta for the Tyrepower Late Model Grand National you really have to be on the top of your game if you want to share in the glory” said Wallace.

“First we have to get through this Friday’s Round of the East Coast Late Model Series though, and that will be no easy task, as the series regulars are being joined by long time sedan campaigner Ross Nicastri having a steer of Bruce MacKenzies #25 machine, young Western Australia talent Jay Cardy in the Tony Tzafaris owned #79 Mastersbilt, and USA racer Al Atkinson in the Disney Motorsport #11”.

“One thing’s for certain, the race fans are going to be treated to some top Dirt Late Model Racing in the next few weeks, and the SKM Motorsport team are looking to be in the thick of it” concluded Wallace.
