The KMC Racing Dirt Late Model Team will look to step up its performance when it contests the Tyrepower Late Model Grand National at Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway (NSW) Saturday January 23.
Team principal and driver Kevin Stevens is happy with how the KMC Racing #8 Dodge Rayburn has been running since getting back on track earlier this season following a 12 month break from the sport.
“The new setup we are running has been working really well” said Stevens.
“With three meetings now completed we are getting a handle on the ideal suspension setting, so I’m really looking forward to mixing it with the strong field assembled for this weeks Grand National”.
“Having competed at Nowra Speedway the past two meetings, and recorded some solid results, its now time to raise the bar again”.
“We decided to miss the January 15 Parramatta Round of the East Coast Late Model Series as a heavy workload away from the track meant we couldn’t devote the necessary time to car preparation that we needed” Stevens said.
“The two Nowra events saw a fuel surge issue emerge so the additional week off has also given us time to address that problem”.
“Its great to be back racing, and great to see the Dirt Late Model division going ahead in leaps and bounds, especially with high profile events like the Tyrepower Late Model Grand National that are attracting quality fields of local and international racers” concluded Stevens.
