The Port Macquarie based SKM Motorsport Dirt Late Model Team is set to spend a lot of time on the road over the next few weeks with race meetings scheduled for three consecutive Saturday nights.

“We have a hectic schedule coming up, starting with this Saturday night (January 30) at Mildura Speedway” said team principal and driver Neil Wallace.

“The following week we are off to Nowra, and the week after that its back to Parramatta”.

“We are keen to support as many Dirt Late Model race meetings as we can and that’s why we are making the long haul to Mildura Speedway (VIC) Saturday night” said Wallace.

“ The South Australian Late Model Association has a race organised and we are just one of a number of NSW based teams that are heading south to compete”.

“I feel it’s important to support the interstate events whenever we can as we want the division to grow at a national level, and that can only come about as a result of increased car counts”.

“The South Australians only have a handful of cars at this stage, but they are good cars, with good drivers, and we need to build on that base. By strengthening the car count at select events hopefully it puts on a better show for the public, and may entice a few more racers to get into Dirt Late Model Racing”.

“The Dirt Late Model division is certain to turn it on for the fans Saturday night at Mildura” concluded Wallace.

The SKM Motorsport #97 Rocket is fully prepared for Mildura after the Tyrepower Late Model Grand National set down for Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway Saturday January 23 was rained out prior to racing getting underway.
